Professor Jirgi is an accomplished consultant and researcher in the field of Agricultural Economics. She has twenty seven (27) years of experience in agricultural economics, consulting, university teaching and research. She obtained her PhD {Agricultural Economics} from University of the Free State Bloemfontein, South Africa in 2013. Jirgi is also a consortium member of the EU-AU Partnership for Resilient, Inclusive Safe Food Systems for Everyone (UP-RISE) Project. And also a member of the MIGRATURITY (Building Capacity of Sub-Saharan Africa Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Addressing Migrations and Security Issues) Project of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
