Biography
Aliyu Mohammed Kawu has been with the Department of Urban & Regional Planning since September, 2006 and is the Director, Centre for Human Settlements and Urban Development (CHSUD), Federal University of Technology, Minna. He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, where he obtained a BSc (Geography), MSc (Urban & Regional Planning), and a doctoral degree in Urban & Regional Planning in 2016 with an interest in urban management and infrastructure finance; regional development; and African urbanization. He has been a member of the Association of Nigerian Geographers, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria, and Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria since 2004. He is also a member of foreign professional associations like the Regional Studies Association of the UK, the American Planning Association, and the Association of American Geographers.
