Dr. Bala ALHAJI Salihu

His research focuses on Telecommunications, Mobile communications technologies, LTE-Advanced and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Bala Alhaji Salihu is an Associate Professor in the Telecommunications Engineering department at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Engineering from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China, as well as MEng and BEng degrees in Communication Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering, respectively, from the Federal University of Technology, Minna. He currently serves as the Director of ICT at the Federal University of Technology, Minna. Beyond core academics, Dr Bala was the instructor who led FUT Minna students to the Huawei 2024 global ICT competition, where they won first prize, and to the 2025 Edition, clinched the grand prizes. He is a certified Amazon Web Services Academy (AWS) Educator. His professional membership cut across strata of Engineering. He currently serves as the Chairman for Engineering Regulation Monitoring (ERM) in Niger State, an arm of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering ,Nigeria (COREN)
