Biography

Engr. Professor Katsina Christopher Bala is Professor of Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Industrial and Production Engineering. A graduate of Mechanical Engineering of the Federal University of Technology, Minna of 1992 with Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Second Class Upper Division. He began his academic journey as an Assistant Lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, Minna on 31st December, 1993 and rose through the ranks and was promoted to Professor of Mechanical Engineering in October, 2021 after 28 years of academic pursuit. Engr. Prof. K. C. Bala has taught and graduated over 15,000 graduate engineers at various levels, and has supervised over 95 numbers of students at undergraduate, Postgraduate Diploma, Masters and PhD levels. His research interests are in the areas of simulation of solidification, development of foundry materials in terms equipment, sand testing, manufacturing and characterization of casting materials.
