Biography

Professor Muhammadu Tajudeen Salaudeen is a distinguished academic in Crop Protection, specialising in Virology. He earned an NCE in Agricultural Science Education from the Federal College of Education, Kontagora, with distinctions, a First Class B. Agric. Tech. from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, an MSc Crop Protection from Ahmadu Bello University, and a PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Ibadan. During his PhD, he was a research fellow at IITA, Ibadan, where he was recognised as the best PhD student. He also received international training in the Netherlands, Spain, and Kenya. He joined FUT Minna in 2004 and was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2020. He has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research, funded by CIMMYT, the World Bank, and TETFund, focuses on plant disease management and precision agriculture. He has held key administrative roles, including Head of the Department of Crop Production.
