Biography
Prof. Shittu had a Doctor of Philosophy (2011) from University of Ilorin. Her research focuses on using Molecular Biology and bioinformatics, Nanotechnology to address health and agricultural challenges. Her research has been supported by the Institutional Tetfund Research Grant, 2016 and 2024, with research focus on Nanodrug delivery and Food safety. While the two National Tetfund Research Grants (2020 and 2021) were on Nanotechnology/Food Safety. Her research also won the 3rd Prize Award for Research and Development in Life Science at the 6th Nigerian Universities Research and Development Fair, NURESDEF, 2016, and 2nd Prize Award for Oral Presentation for the Capacity Building Workshop for Young Women Academics sponsored by United States Embassy in Nigeria. She has also received an Educational Trust Fund fellowship in 2009 for part of her PhD research work. she is a recipient Fulbright fellowship award 2017. She has involved in capacity building in field of bioinformatics
