Biography

Prof. S.A. Lawal obtained his B.Eng and M.Eng degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Technology Minna. He earned a PhD in Design and Manufacturing Engineering from University of Malaya, Malaysia. He is a researcher in the field of Mechanical Engineering known for his work in engineering design, manufacturing (machining characteristics), nanofluid development, and welding process optimization. He has served as Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Federal University of Technology Minna. He has led and participated in several funded research projects including, NRF (TETfund), European Mobility project, HEPSAA (Royal Academic of Engineers, UK), IBR etc. Prof. Lawal has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles in reputable international Journals with over two thousand citations. He was top 2% World researcher in 2020 and 2022 as reported by Standford University, USA. He is a member of many professional bodies including COREN
