ADESIJI, Adeolu Richard was born on 30th September, 1974 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Richard started his primary education in the year 1980 at St. Mary Catholic Primary School in Ibadan, Oyo State. He proceeded to Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, still in Oyo State in Nigeria. Richard started his tertiary education at The Polytechnic, Ibadan Oyo State Nigeria where he had his Higher National Diploma, (HND) in Civil Engineering. Richard obtained his BEng in Civil Engineering (2004) and MEng in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering (2010), both from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Water Resources Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering from Universiti Putra, Malaysia, (UPM) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thamer Ahmed Mohamed. For his PhD Degree, his research focus was on Peatland Hydrology, Soil carbon dynamics in Peatland, peatland groundwater dissolved organic carbon (DOC) flux and concentration in peatland stream and Oil palm Irrigation water requirement in tropical peatland. Richard is a staff of Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, where he lectures as an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering. His research area is on Watershed management, Watershed Irrigation and Water Management, Groundwater Engineering and Modelling, Rainfall-Runoff Modelling, Drought Forecasting and Water Resources Management.
