National Research Agenda: Today Natural/bio/ cellulose fibres are envisioned as an alternative medium to replacing conventional materials or synthetic fibres as reinforcement in cement/concrete composites. The low cost, no health risk, low density, high strength and modulus, and availability of these fibres in Nigeria as made it befitting for use in composites production. The following research interests in line with global research trend will optimize the abundant natural fibre available in our environment and improve our economy as the whole world migrates towards a global bio-based economy which is the solution for sustainable developments.

  1. The research interests are:
  2. Biofiborus concrete composites
  3. Biofibrous Polymer composites/geopolymer structure
  4. Concrete and Ultra High-performance Concrete
  5. Time dependent deformation study of biofibrous cement/concrete and or polymer composite.
  6. Advance composite innovative structures.
