Research Area

My research area is experimental, computational fluid dynamics and artificial intelligence with a core interest in transport in porous media, acoustics and cement technology. My main expertise is in single and multiphase fluid-structure interactions in macroporous structures processed in novel ways like porous metallic structures, virtually-packed structures and bimodal porous structures, and open conduits using numerical simulation and experimentation. Applications include filtration, chemical processing, aero-engine fluid systems, automobile, energy (oil and gas), acoustic absorbers, waste reduction and metallurgical processing etc.
