Dr Aisha Alkali is a lecturer in the Department of Geophysics of Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State Nigeria. Dr Aisha obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Physics /Telecommunication in April, 2010 and a Master’s degree in Applied Geophysics obtained from Federal University of Technology Minna in March, 2015. She holds a PhD degree in Applied Geophysics obtained from Federal University of Technology Minna in June, 2023. She joined the services of Federal University of Technology on 15th June, 2012 as a System Analyst II and started her academic career at the Department of Physics of Federal University of Technology Minna in the year 2017; she has taught both physics and geophysics courses including Geometrical Optics, Experimental Physics, Mechanics and Magnetic Method.
She has supervised both undergraduate students and currently a postgraduate student. She has attended both local and international conferences. She held positions of responsibilities including Departmental Academic level adviser from 2017 till-date. Dr Aisha is a member of various professional bodies including Nigeria Institute of Physics (NIP) and Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS), member Fund Raising Committee of the 40th Annual Conference of Nigerian Institute of Physics, Member of Committee on welfare Needs Assessment, member of the Committee of 30% CCMAS Development for Geophysics Department, Member Physics Departmental Handbook Review, Member Project Commissioning and Honorary Award Committee and Departmental Examination Officer in 2023. A reviewer to Earth Sciences Research Journal, member of Geophysics research group grant sponsored by Tetfund. Her research interests are Seismology, Mineralization, and geothermal, engineering and environmental geophysics.
