Prof. Musbau Akanji giving his speech at the Trade Fair Complex, Minna yesterday The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Musbau Adewumi Akanji, FNSBMB, FAS, has called on the general public and investors to collaborate with the University on groundbreaking inventions, especially in technology. He made this call during FUT Minna special day at the ongoing 14th Niger National Trade Fair, organized by the Niger State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture which held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Trade Fair Complex, Paiko Road, Minna, Niger State.

Cross section of POs at the matriculation of postgraduate students The Federal University of Technology, Minna has matriculated 1, 271 Postgraduate students for 2015/16 academic session out of 2,594 students who were qualified to be admitted for various postgraduate programmes of the institution. Prof. Akanji revealed that the most highly qualified students were selected, adding that the University postgraduate programmes are highly competitive.
Prof. Oladimeji Adeniji presenting his Inaugural lecture at the Caverton Lecture Theatre In the lecture titled: “Agricultural Extension for Food Security: Implications for Sustainable Development Goals” Prof. Adeniji who stressed the need to urgently address the challenges affecting the coordination of extension and advisory services to attain the required pace of development, proposed a cost sharing ratio of 36%, 25%, 35% and 4% among the federal government, state governments, local government councils and communities respectively. In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Musbau Adewumi Akanji, FNSBMB, FAS, commended the Don for the lecture. He said he was elated at the pace of inaugural lectures in the University as the institution was recently commended by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors in Nigeria for doing well in that regard
