Miss. Nkechi Chinwendu Nwakife

Miss NWAKIFE, Chinwendu Nkechi is currently working as a Lecturer II in the Department of Chemistry, School of Physical Sciences, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria.

She attended National Youth Service Corps Nursery and Primary School, Brinin Kebbi, Kebbi State from 1993 to 1997 where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. She proceeded to Federal Government Girls College, Bwari, Abuja where she obtained her Senior School Certificate in 2003. She further proceeded for her undergraduate programme at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State from 2005 to 2009 where she obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Pure and Industrial Chemistry with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division). In addition, she proceeded for a master’s degree programme at Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State where she obtained a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Analytical Chemistry in 2015.

Miss Nkechi is an associate member, Institute of Strategic Management (ISM) and also a member, Chemical Society of Nigeria, Niger Chapter. She has served as the Coordinator, Federal University of Technology, Minna zone, Chemical Society of Nigeria, Niger Chapter. In addition, Miss Nkechi has served as the Financial Secretary and currently the Treasurer of Chemical Society of Nigeria, Niger Chapter.

She has supervised (and still supervising) students projects at the undergraduate level, involved in several teaching, research and community services within and outside the University. She has published in national and international journals and has attended national and international conferences and workshops.

Her research interest is in the analysis of food, water and soil using modern analytical tools.

Her research interest is in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry which includes the analysis of food, water and soil using modern analytical tools.
