Mrs. Jane Osita Lawrence is a Lecturer in Geophysics department at Federal University of Technology Minna. She obtained a Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) in Physics/Computer in 2007 from the Federal College of Education Zaria; Bachelor degree in Physics (2011) and Master’s degree in Geophysics (2016) both from Federal University of Technology Minna.

Since joining the university in 2019, Mrs. Jane has served in various capacities among which is Level Adviser (2020 till date), academic adviser (2020 till date). She has taught both Physics and Geophysics courses including Mechanics, Physics of the solid Earth and Gravity methods.

Mrs. Jane is a member of Nigeria Institute of Physics (NIP) and her research covers investigating the subsurface using geophysical techniques. Jane who has attended several conferences and published both locally and internationally in journals of repute is currently undertaking a Doctoral program in Energy and Natural Resources Geophysics. She is a member of the Geophysics Research team who recently won a multimillion naira research grant from NRF Tetfund.
