Dr. Suleiman Zubair is a Senior Lecturer of Telecommunication Engineering in the School of Electrical Engineering and Technology, Federal University of Technology, Minna. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with a Major in Telecommunication Engineering in 2015, from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He obtained his MEng in Communication from the University of Technology, Minna in 2010 and his B.Eng. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria in 2003.
After completing his PhD, he joined the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, to work as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the UTM-MIMOS Center of Excellence in Telecommunication Engineering from 2015 to 2016. Afterwards, he has worked as a as a consultant in various practical projects of Internet of Things and Smart Home/ Smart City (Innovation/Design and Implementation.) for MC DREAM CONCEPT Ltd Nigerias top building construction and civil engineering company in Abuja that specializes in building Affordable Smart Homes in Nigeria, Civil & allied design. He has also developed courses on AI and related areas for National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and Maryam Abacha American University Of Niger Republic (and Kano, Nigeria).
Dr. Zubair is a member of the IEEE, IAENG, Council for The Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and Soft Computing Research Society. He is a Certified Internet of Things Professional. He was the recipient of the Best Student Award Doctor of Philosophy (Electrical Engineering) during the UTM 54th Convocation. He also received the best paper award at the 3rd International Conference on Computer Vision and Robotics (CVR 2023) held on February 24-25, Babu Banarasi Das University Lucknow, India. His current research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Systems, Wireless Communication, Nano-Scale Communication, 6G Cellular Systems, Software Defined Networking, Technological Development in Third World Countries.
