Academic Qualifications: B.Sc. Anatomy (University of Maiduguri), PGDE (Usmanu Dan Fodio University) (MTech and Ph.D. Applied Entomology and Parasitology (Federal University of Technology, Minna). 

Teaching and Supervision Experience. Dr Ukubuiwe, Azubuike Christian has taught at all levels of education (Primary, secondary and tertiary). Since he joined the service of the Federal University of Technology, he has taught several courses at 200, 300 and 400 levels. He has also supervised over 30 undergraduate students. He has also completed the supervision of four Master students and currently supervising two MTech students. Currently, Dr Ukubuiwe is co-supervising six (6) PhD students.

Administrative Responsibilities: Dr Ukubuiwe has served in various committees such as the departmental business committee and CCMAS content development committee. He has served in the Examination Office (since he joined the service of the University in 2014) as assistant examination officer, and later the substantive Examination officer (in 2016) for three years. He has served as project coordinator, level adviser, Assistant post-graduate coordinator and now the Postgraduate programme coordinator.

Publications (Journals, Conference attendance, books or chapters in books: Dr Ukubuiwe has published over 40 articles in renowned scientific publishing outlets. He has also attended and presented papers in conferences, and published chapter in books.

External linkages (reviewer, editor, accreditation, visiting lecturing, keynote/Guest speakership etc): Dr Ukubuiwe serve as reviewer of many international and local journals. He has also served as internal examiners for postgraduate students at both masters and doctoral levels. He has served as a Guest Speaker at the National conference.

Awards and Grants attracted: Dr Ukubuiwe has successfully attracted several local and national grants from Institution based research (IBR), TETFund and NRF grants.

Areas of research interest/Hobbies: Dr Ukubuiwe is a medical entomologist with interest in mosquito-based studies. He is concerned about the influence of environmental factors on success of mosquitoes as vectors of disease. His hobbies include reading, writing and meeting people.
